The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. =--------------------------------------------------------------------- =------------- Release of a voting rights announcement pursuant to section 21 para.1 WpHG (Securities Trading Act): Baillie Gifford & Co, Edinburgh, Great Britain, notified us on February 6, 2008, of the following: On January 31, 2008, the voting interest of Baillie Gifford & Co in Q-Cells AG exceeded the threshold of 3 % and on this date amounted to 3.03 % (this corresponds to 2,443,463 voting rights). 1.46 % of these voting rights (this corresponds to 1,173,897 voting rights) are attributed to Baillie Gifford & Co in accordance with sec. 22 para. 1 sent. 1 no. 6 WpHG. 1.57 % of these voting rights (this corresponds to 1,269,566 voting rights) are attributed to Baillie Gifford & Co in accordance with sec. 22 para 1 sent. 1 no. 6 and sent. 2 WpHG. Fidelity International, with its registered office in Tadworth, Great Britain, notified us in the name and on behalf of FMR LLC, Boston, USA, on February 6, 2008, of the following: On February 5, 2008, the voting rights held by FMR LLC fell below the threshold of 10 % of the voting rights in Q-Cells AG. On that date, FMR LLC held 9.98 % of the voting rights in Q-Cells AG, arising from 8,051,427 voting rights. All voting rights in Q-Cells AG were attributed to FMR LLC pursuant to section 22 para. 1 sent. 1 no. 6 in connection with sent. 2 WpHG. The voting rights were attributed to FMR LLC inter alia from Fidelity Contrafund, being a shareholder holding 3 % or more of the voting rights in Q-Cells AG.
