Heliocentris Fuel Cells AG, a leading system integrator for fuel cells, today announced the delivery of a 32 kW fuel cell system for operation in a hybrid midi-bus owned by the city of Barth in Mecklenburg-West Pomerania. Heliocentris designed and built this 32 kW bus integration unit based on two 16 kW fuel cell units from Hydrogenics. It is used in a midi-bus, a small public transport bus for up to 22 people or tourists. The aim of the pilot project in the city of Barth is to construct and operate a fuel cell hybrid bus operated with hydrogen for tourist traffic - low noise and emission free.
